Dallas Meets Winter Weather

The Dallas winter ice storm that at its peak left 4,000 stranded overnight at the airport, 250,000 without power, closed schools and businesses and shut down major roadways. The Dallas Marathon was cancelled. There was a backup near Denton that confined people to their cars for 12 hours. The weight of the ice crushed boat docks and smashed cars. While the temperature wasn't particularly bothersome the blanket of ice over the city caused massive destruction.
